Both class AND race play a huge role. I've known plenty of well-off black people who were randomly pulled over by cops all the time for no damn reason. Hell, it happened to Miles Davis even when he was driving his Ferrari. Wealth doesn't make one immune to racism, which is rampant in this country.

Also, it's not a coincidence that poverty is correlated with darker skin. That's a result of structural racism, so there's ultimately no way to disentangle race and class.
